These are tiny 1cm square cubes of Grodan Rockwool designed to be used as pot growing media. Plant your seedling or cutting on into 5 Litre or bigger pots containing the growing cubes and then water with a hydroponic nutrient solution. Cellmax is clean and lightweight with good air to water retention properties which proves easy to use and very effective.

can you use these in active hydroponics, such as DWC?Some people do use a blend of pebbles and coco, but what you need to be aware of is that the cellmax retains more water than the pebbles, and is perhaps suited to flood and drain or hydro dripper system rather than a DWC system.Written by jimmy | 4 Jun 2012
