Ramp Up Rooting with Your Propagator
Ramp Up Rooting with Your Propagator
Want stronger, faster rooting plants? The secret lies in your propagator. Aeroponic propagators deliver fuel for roots from day one, giving plants the best possible start.
The Propagator Test: Aeroponic vs Hi-Top
A trial was carried out with 36 cuttings from the same mother plant, dipped in Clonex Rooting Gel and placed into three different propagator setups:
- 12 in a Premium Propagator using Jiffy Plugs
- 12 in a Premium Propagator using Rockwool Cubes
- 12 in an Aeroponic Propagator using Neoprene Discs only (included)
By day 10, all cuttings were rooting. By day 20, the Aeroponic cuttings had developed huge, vigorous roots that outperformed the others significantly.
Why Aeroponic Propagators?
- Promote explosive root growth in just 10 days
- Provide constant oxygen and moisture to cuttings
- Reduce transplant shock with stronger, healthier root systems
Transplanting Aeroponic Cuttings in Coco/Soil
- Fill small square pots with your chosen propagation growing media.
- Lower each cutting gently into the pot and backfill with media.
- Water thoroughly with Shogun Start until run-off occurs.
- Place in a propagator with the lid on and vents open for best humidity control.
Transplanting Aeroponic Cuttings in Hydro
- Soak rockwool blocks for 15 minutes in water at pH 5.5, flushing with Shogun Start.
- Insert cuttings into the block, ensuring roots are spread evenly.
- Pack blocks into pre-soaked Cultiwool cubes or dry perlite to support them.
- Water with Shogun Start until run-off, then return to a propagator with lid on and vents open.
Summary
Aeroponic propagators consistently produce the fastest, healthiest root systems compared to traditional propagators. Whether transplanting into coco, soil, or hydro, starting with stronger roots gives your plants the best possible foundation for future growth.
