The Test: Root Booster Vs. Water
To find out if root boosters really work, we put our bestselling one to the test - SHOGUN Katana Roots. It's one of SHOGUN's signature stimulants.
Growers claim it boosts root growth, health and branching. But how good is it? Let's find out.
What We Did
We decided to run a simple A vs. B test! 10 cuttings were propagated with Katana Roots, and 10 with plain old water.
Step 1:
20 cuttings of roughly the same size were taken from a basil plant were treated with Clonex Rooting Gel.
Step 2:
We filled two X-Stream Aeroponic Propagators – one with tap water (left), the other with 5ml/L of Katana Roots (right).
Step 3:
Lids were put on, vents were closed, a 125W CFL was positioned 1m above the propagators.
The Results
We monitored cuttings closely over one week...here's what happened.
Day 5
We have roots! Cuttings rooted with Katana Roots (right) are steaming ahead.
Day 7
It’s a no-brainer! Cuttings dosed with SHOGUN Katana Roots are longer & denser.
Final Verdict
Katana Roots is the boss! With results like that in only 1 week, imagine the impact Katana Roots has on a whole veg cycle.
