High-Volume Airflow for Bigger Canopies
The Vortex 10" Oscillating AC Clip-On Fan is built for growers who need more air movement than a standard 6" circulation fan can provide.
Its larger 10-inch fan head moves a greater volume of air across the growing space, while the specially designed front grille helps spread that airflow more effectively across a wider section of the canopy.
Add a powerful two-speed AC motor and a heavy-duty rubber-lined pole clamp, and you've got a simple, high-output circulation fan that's particularly well suited to larger tents, wider canopies and denser plant growth.
Key Benefits
-
Large 10-inch fan head; moves more air across a wider area than a compact 6-inch clip fan;
-
Wide airflow distribution; specially designed grille helps spread air across more of the canopy;
-
Powerful AC motor; built for high-volume circulation in larger indoor growing spaces;
-
Two speed settings; choose between steady background circulation and stronger airflow;
-
Heavy-duty pole clamp; securely supports the larger fan directly on your grow tent frame;
-
Rubber grip inserts; improve grip and help keep the fan securely positioned;
-
Ideal for dense canopies; useful where smaller fans struggle to move air through and across plant growth;
-
Space-saving design; mounts onto the tent frame instead of occupying valuable floor space;
-
Quiet operation; delivers strong circulation without unnecessary grow room noise.
Why You Need More Air Across the Canopy
Your extraction fan changes the air inside the grow space. Your circulation fans make sure that air actually moves around the plants.
As the canopy becomes larger and denser, pockets of warm, humid air can develop between leaves, beneath the canopy and around areas with poor air movement.
A larger circulation fan helps keep more of that air moving.
The Vortex 10" AC Fan combines a larger fan head with wider airflow distribution, making it particularly useful when a smaller clip fan simply isn't covering enough of the growing area.
Built for Larger & Denser Canopies
The big advantage here is simple: coverage.
A 10-inch fan head can move air across considerably more of the growing space than a small clip fan, making it a strong option for bigger tents and developed canopies where you need circulation across a broad area rather than one targeted spot.
That doesn't necessarily mean replacing every smaller fan in the room. Smaller clip fans are still useful underneath the canopy and in awkward corners, while the Vortex 10" can handle the broader movement above and across the plants.
Wide Airflow Distribution
The specially designed front grille helps spread the Vortex's airflow over a wider area rather than concentrating everything into one narrow stream.
That makes it easier to achieve gentle movement across more of the canopy without constantly blasting one group of leaves while plants elsewhere receive very little circulation.
Position it so the airflow travels across the growing area and let the wider pattern do the work.
Simple Two-Speed AC Control
The Vortex uses a straightforward two-speed AC motor.
Use the lower setting for continuous background air movement, or switch to the higher setting when the canopy becomes denser or your grow space needs stronger circulation.
It's deliberately simpler than the Vortex 6" EC Fan. The 6" model focuses on precise 10-speed control, while the 10" AC model prioritises high-volume airflow and wider canopy coverage.
Heavy-Duty Grow Tent Mounting
A larger fan needs a secure mounting point.
The Vortex uses a heavy-duty pole clamp with rubber grip inserts to support the 10" fan head directly from the grow tent frame.
This keeps the fan off the floor and makes it easier to position the airflow at canopy height, while leaving valuable space around your pots, trays and growing system clear.
6" EC or 10" AC – Which Vortex Fan Do You Need?
Choose the Vortex 6" Oscillating EC Fan if your priority is precise airflow control, with 10 speeds and selectable oscillation for smaller or more targeted areas.
Choose the Vortex 10" Oscillating AC Fan if you have a larger or denser canopy and your priority is simply moving a greater volume of air across a wider area.
In larger setups, they can also work together: use the 10" fan for broad canopy circulation and smaller fans for targeted airflow underneath the canopy or around difficult corners.
How to Set Up the Vortex 10" AC Fan
- Choose a secure position on your grow tent frame around canopy height.
- Attach the heavy-duty clamp firmly to the tent pole and check that the rubber inserts are seated correctly.
- Make sure the fan has enough clearance to operate without contacting tent walls, lighting or other equipment.
- Direct the airflow across the canopy rather than straight into one plant at close range.
- Start on the lower speed and observe the movement across the growing area.
- Increase to the higher speed if the canopy becomes denser or more circulation is required.
- Add smaller circulation fans underneath the canopy or in awkward areas if required.
Remember: circulation and extraction perform different jobs. This fan moves air around the grow room; it does not replace a correctly sized extraction system.

Top Tip
Don't judge your circulation by the leaves directly in front of the fan. What matters is getting gentle movement across as much of the canopy as possible. Position the Vortex so its wider airflow travels across the grow space, then use smaller fans underneath or around difficult areas if you still have stagnant pockets.
