This smart device actively tracks grow room temperatures and automatically adjusts the lighting intensity when required – dimming units down and even switching them off in the event of extreme conditions. Indeed, as a standard function, the Lumatek Control Panel Plus 2.0 will run your hardware according to the day and night hours selected by you, removing the need for an additional timer and contactor.

Interestingly the product has two separate channels – known as “Zones” – for you to utilise, which each handle up to 200 Lumatek “controllable” HID fixtures or ballasts (with a digital RS485 signal) or up to 50 LED drivers (with an analog 0-10V signal). Both of these channels can manage the same powered ballasts/drivers (e.g. 600W LED for Zone A and 600W HPS for Zone B) or different powered ballasts/drivers (e.g. 600W LED for Zone A and 315W CDM for Zone B). Such a setup enables you to consider instructing the controller to run two independent rooms with unique settings (e.g. veg and bloom) or one room with up to two different light sources (e.g. HPS and LED, or HPS and CDM).

Another special feature onboard the Lumatek Control Panel Plus 2.0 is the Sunrise/Sunset mode that lets you mimic natural light patterns, with a maximum duration of 30 minutes. We recommend trying this out if you’ve got HPS and CDM fixtures, but found it performs to a limited capacity for LED fixtures.

The Lumatek Control Panel Plus 2.0 will work with all “controllable” Lumatek HID Ballasts (315W, 600W, 630w and 1000W) and all Lumatek Zeus LED Grow Lights. For the latter, a Lumatek Daisy Chain Cable is required to hook up every additional LED (on top of the original) to the controller – e.g. one cable for two LEDs, or two cables for 3 LEDs.
