The probe on the Accuread Temperature & Humidity Meter measures the temperature, the humidity is measured with a sensor that is mounted in the unit. For accurate temperature readings, we would advise placing the probe at the base level of your plants in the shade, if the temperature probe is in direct light, you will get a false high temperature reading.

You should place the probe from the unit at the base level of your plants in the shade, the Out reading will give you your temperature reading.

This will work well, the best place to position the probe is at the base level of your plants, in the shade. If the probe is not in the shade, you will get an inaccurate reading.
What are the min/max temperatures the Digital Combo Meter can register reliably?
The digital temperature & humidity meter will measure between 10 & 50 degrees celsius.
Can the unit be used to measure min/max temperature and humidity in a room 4m x 3m?
The Digital temperature & humidity meter will accurately measure temperature within a 1.8 metre radius of the probe, we would recommend using 2 in a 4m x 3m area.
Hi, Does the humidity/temp combo measure teh humidity via the unit or the probe? I need something that I can put the probe into a box to measure the humidity with out opening the box. Thanks, M Hill
This measures the humidity via the unit, the probe only measures the temperature.
