Used alongside the Tray2Grow Seed Trays, this rigid lid helps retain moisture, reduce stress, and support faster, more consistent germination and rooting, all while working seamlessly with the Tray2Grow bottom-feeding system.
It’s a simple but effective upgrade for growers running regular propagation cycles who want more control and repeatable results.
Young plants lose moisture quickly and are easily stressed by dry air. The Tray2Grow Seed Tray Lid helps maintain consistent humidity above the growing media while moisture is supplied gently from below via capillary action.
This balance encourages faster callusing, healthier root development, and more uniform early growth without the risks associated with top-watering or oversaturation.
When running a Tray2Grow system in a capillary matting configuration, water and nutrients are drawn upward into the growing media. The Seed Tray Lid sits above the tray, trapping humidity and creating a stable propagation environment.
Roots still receive oxygen from below, while the lid reduces moisture loss from above; ideal conditions for seedlings and cuttings.
Growell Tip: Once seedlings emerge, crack the lid open slightly to gradually reduce humidity and harden plants off before transplanting.
