The AutoPot Tray2Grow Seed Tray is designed specifically for use with the AutoPot Tray2Grow system, making it ideal for propagation, early veg, and uniform seedling development.
Its perforated base allows water and nutrient solution to be drawn up from below, delivering steady, even moisture without over-saturating young roots.
This creates a stable environment for seedlings and cuttings while significantly reducing the need for hand watering.
Used with the Tray2Grow capillary matting setup, these trays help keep early growth consistent, controlled, and stress-free.
When used in the capillary matting configuration, the Tray2Grow system supplies water and nutrients from beneath the seed tray rather than from above.
This encourages healthier root development and helps prevent common propagation issues caused by overwatering.
A rectangular capillary mat (sold separately) is laid into the base of the Tray2Grow tray and tucked into the channels. A root control sheet (sold separately) is then placed over the mat to prevent roots growing into the matting.
The Tray2Grow Seed Trays sit on top of this setup. Moisture is drawn upward through the mat and passes through the perforations in the base of each tray, feeding the growing media evenly from below.
The Tray2Grow system can accommodate up to four Tray2Grow Seed Trays at once, making it ideal for batch propagation, microgreens, or uniform seedling production in limited space.
Growell Tip: Always use a root control sheet when running capillary matting. This prevents roots growing into the mat and ensures smooth, reliable water delivery throughout propagation.
