Hydroponics Store Manager - GroWell Birmingham

Full Time

Now’s your chance to manage the best hydro store in all of central Birmingham!

You’ll be responsible for the entire site – that’s stock, staff, sales – the lot.

But, it’s not limited to just management – you’ll get ‘stuck in’ with the marketing team too! Together, you’ll use communication and task manager tools to maximise the impact of our merchandising and keep displays looking fresh.

Most importantly, you’ll drive sales. You’ll need to be a clear and confident communicator. Someone who can get behind the products, approach customers and use in-depth product knowledge to promote and sell the whole range of items that we offer. Providing great advice and building solid relationships to ensure customers are looked after and want to keep coming back.

You will be responsible for training staff and ensuring that GroWell standards and values are being met by the whole team.

You will be responsible for all aspects of store admin, from banking through to making sure everyone is clocking in and out as well as approving holiday requests.

It’s a fun, engaging, rewarding and challenging role!

Overview of responsibilities:

• Driving sales and advising customers about suitable products

• Managing and training staff

• Security (locking up / keyholder)

• Stock control

• Merchandising products

• Creating store displays

• Banking, handling cash and taking payment

• Using ESS / TWC to manage staff attendance and holidays

Hydroponics Sales Assistant - GroWell Hockley Heath

Friendly, approachable and keen to help people? You’ll be right at home in our store!

We’re looking for tech savvy people with a keen interest in indoor growing. You don’t have to be an expert – just excited to learn!

You’ll be joining a welcoming, tight-knit team. For starters, you’ll mostly be learning from senior sales consultants. Then when ready, you’ll consult with customers, offering them stellar advice and smart solutions.

You’ll need to be a confident, competent person. Someone who’s a great listener, a problem solver and able to make a decision.

Previous retail experience is desired but not essential. So act now and take up this fantastic opportunity to work for the UK's largest hydroponics retailer and develop a fulfilling career in retail.

Full time: 5 days per week (we open 7 days a week which means flexibility is a must).

Part time: 2-3 days per week, with potentially more available as and when required (we open 7 days a week which means flexibility is a must).

Shop opening hours: 9:30am-5:30pm (Mon-Thurs), 10am-5pm (Fri-Sat) and 11am-4pm (Sun).
