Technical Sales & Merchandising Executive

An exciting opportunity has opened up to work within GroWell Horticultural as a Technical Sales & Merchandising Executive. Read on to find out more details!

Job Roles:

  • Provide technical support to customers and shop staff
  • Use a high level of knowledge of closed loop, air conditioning and CO2 systems to educate customers and spec out large rooms
  • Build a good relationship with suppliers and reps to keep up to date with all new technology that becomes available
  • Cover at stores when needed
  • Help train and teach all store staff on new products and technical equipment
  • Ensure displays are set up correctly and working as intended where necessary
  • Support the marketing department with content and information
  • Spend time in all stores supporting staff and helping drive sales

Requirements:

  • Must have a good understanding of all products sold by GroWell, with excellent knowledge of high end gear and technical products in particular – e.g. closed loop environments, LED lighting, CO2 and large room equipment.
  • Must have a keen eye for detail and a strong grasp of the benefits of different growing systems, with experience of setting up and running them
  • Must be able to assist the marketing team in creating in-store displays as well as offering help and advice to both customers and store staff
  • Must be confident in leading store staff in sales and providing support to all sites, training staff on any equipment they may need help to better understand
  • Must be confident in leading store staff in sales and providing support to all sites, training staff on any equipment they may need help to better understand
  • Must offer assistance to all sites when needed with cover, help with display set ups and assist in store sales
  • Must be confident taking meetings with potential large scale customers
