Grodan Rockwool Cubes are ideal for raising seedlings and cuttings. Clean, lightweight and supplied in their own plastic tray for easy handling, these continue to be one of the most popular growing mediums we sell. Once roots start to emerge through the cubes, you will need to plant them on into larger Grodan Transplanting Cubes or some other medium. There are 2 sizes of cube available: Large Cuttings Seed Cube = 3.6cm (one and a half inch) (GroWell recommended) and Small Cuttings Seed Cube = 2.5cm (one inch).

Hi there, I've just been taking a look at Grodan Cuttings Seed Cubes. I'm going to be starting from Seed and a outdoors op. Are these suitable to be used to Germinate even though the plants are going to end up in Bio Bizz? I'm asking this with them been Rockwool. Thanks
You shouldn’t have a problem using Grodan Cuttings Seed Cubes to start them off, but it’s not advisable to use organic feeds in rockwool. I would start them off using Vita Link Plant Start, & pH adjust the solution, which you will not need to do once they are in soil.

Hello, do you think it would be the right medium for some rhododendron cuttings? Should i use only water or should i use water with fertilesers? thank you
These seed cubes work well for the vast majority of plants, I would recommend you pre soak the cubes in a quarter strength nutrient solution before use. It would also be beneficial to use Clonex rooting gel when you take the cutting, and Rhizotonic, which helps the cutting establish a strong root system.

Are these supplied with or without a tray? Only the description isn't clear. Cheers.
The Grodan Cuttings Seed Cubes come in trays.
