Managing Your Grow Room & Nutrient Temperatures

Temperature control is one of the most important factors in successful indoor growing. Both your grow room and nutrient solution need to stay within the right ranges to keep plants healthy and productive. Too much fluctuation can cause stress, while consistently poor temperatures reduce yield.

Ideal Temperature Ranges

  • Grow Room: 24–28°C – avoid sudden drops or spikes, as these can stress plants and trigger condensation issues such as bud rot.
  • Nutrient Solution: 18–21°C – cooler feed slows root function, while warmer feed reduces oxygen levels and encourages disease.

Using a Heavy Duty Nutrient Heater

  1. Clip on suction cups and place the heater at the base of your tank.
  2. Ensure it’s firmly pressed against the base so the cups stick.
  3. Set your target temperature using the dial, then switch on.
Tip: Never run your heater dry or let solution drop below the heater’s level.

Using a Nutrient Chiller

Chillers are vital if your grow space gets too hot in summer. Place your chiller in a ventilated area, connect the pump to the inlet and outlet, and keep airflow moving around it to prevent overheating.
