is the cfl reflector self ballast
The CFL reflector is plugged directly into the mains, the CFL bulbs have a ballast built in. We would strongly advise against using any bulb other than a CFL in this reflector.
Ideally id like to hang my lights as i will be needing to adjust their height frequently. Can I hang this reflector or must it be fixed?
It is possible to hang this reflector using Exolux Ezi-Roll Light Hangers. You can then adjust the height of your reflector simply by pulling it up or down.
Can Sunmaster Lamps be used with this Reflector?
That depends which "Sunmaster" you mean!! This reflector is suitable for all CFL lamps - one brand of which is called a Sunmaster CFL lamp. It is NOT however suitable for use with HID sunmaster lamps which require a ballast.
does the reflector for the 125 w cfl come with mains leads
The CFL Hobby Reflector is supplied with a mains lead & plug, all you need to do is screw in your bulb & plug it in.

The CFL Hobby Reflector is 47cm lond, 40cm wide, 13cm high.
Can you use this for a 250watts cfl?
This reflector will not accomodate a 250W CFL bulb, the Sunmate Grow CFL reflector will take a 250W CFL lamp.
I have just received my cfl eco light and hobby reflector but i have noticed that the reflector has a sort of blue film covering the inside and would like to know if this blue film has to stay on or does it have to be taken off before use ?
You need to take this blue film off before use, it is on there to procect the reflector surface during transit.
I am trying to find out which offers the highest lumen output, a 2 tube Exolux ( 9600 lumens, 110 watts) or a 125 watt Sunmate CFL?
A 125W Eco Light will produce 12000 lumens. For maximum light intensity from a 125W Eco Light, we would recommend using it in conjunction with a Sunmate Grow CFL reflector.
