Written by Jabb22 | 7 May 2014Would you recommend a T5 or a CFL for propagation? I can't really see anything that gives you a comparison. You can use either T5 units, or CFLs for propagation, & achieve good results. The CFLs are also suitable for the vegetative phase of your grow, you can successfully get your plants to 60cm high, whereas the T5s are more specific to propagation.

Written by troer | 4 Jul 2012Hi, i would like to know how much energy consumes this 125 watt cfl bulb, because long time ago i bought a fluorescent lamp that says input 30watts and output 150watts, so, if i get for example, 2 x 250watts cfl bulbs, that means is gonna consume nearly the same energy that a 600w hps light? The 125W CFL bulbs will consume 125 Watts of electricity. In terms of running costs, if you run this bulb for 10 hours, it will use 1.25 Kilowatt hours.
