Eco Grow 240 Water Filter
Want robust plants with stronger roots and healthier fruits?
Then give them a clean diet! Use a GrowMax Eco Grow Water Filter.
Your 2 stage filter will remove almost all water impurities, at a rate of 240 litres per hour.
You’ll be enhancing nutrient uptake, thanks to a more efficient nutrient feed and a stable pH.
To boost growth further, soil bacteria and microorganisms will be protected – it’s great for organic growers.
Your reflectors, carbon filters and bulbs will also perform better for longer (no mineral build ups).
Your filter’s simple to set up and is ready to use out of the box.
Buy it now – it’s a simple change but your plants will truly flourish.
• 2 stage water filter unit
• Removes 99% of chlorine
• Eliminates 90% of sediment particles above 5 microns
• Makes nutrient feed more effective and enhances uptake
• Helps stabilize nutrient feed pH
• Protects friendly soil bacteria - great for organic growers
• Encourages vigorous growth & healthier fruits
• Strengthens plant roots
• Protects reflectors, carbon filters & bulbs from mineral deposits
• Ready to use out of the box – easy to set up
• Connects to pipework or a tap
• Includes: pressure gauges, flow restrictors and automatic shut off valves
We recommend
Use an filter to protect your reflectors, bulbs and carbon filter if you have a humidistat in your grow room.
Have you got hard water?
Limescale’s a clear indicator of having hard water. Look out for it at the ends of your taps and on the inside of your kettle.
Or you can use a CF meter:
• Soft water has a CF reading of 0 - 3
• Medium to moderately hard water has a CF reading of 4 - 5
• Hard water has a CF reading of 6 +
How do GrowMax Eco Grow Water Filters help your plants?
If you have unfiltered water, your plants are exposed to various elements that can harm growth, (such as chlorine, magnesium carbonate and calcium carbonate) that can:
• Obstruct plant growth
• Alter your nutrient feed’s pH
• Harm bacteria and microorganisms in your soil
• Affect the concentration of your nutrient feed
• Damage, dirty or clog up grow room equipment
• Slow nutrient uptake
• Impede photosynthesis
With a GrowMax Eco Grow Water Filter, none of this happens, because you’ll filter out:
• 99% of chlorine
• 90% of sediment particles above 5 microns
As a result, you’ll get:
• A more stable pH and better concentrated nutrient feed
• Better nutrient uptake, leading to bigger plants, stronger plant roots & healthier fruits
• A healthier soil mix – there’s no chlorine to kill organisms or friendly bacteria
• All round improvements in plant growth
• Uninhibited photosynthesis
• Better performing grow room equipment (no mineral deposits) - further enhances growth
How does it affect my grow room equipment?
If you use unfiltered water alongside a humidifier, over time, mineral deposits collect on your grow room equipment.
• Bulbs and reflectors
- Lose 10% of their reflectivity over 3 months
• Carbon filters
- Become clogged
- With dirty fabric sleeves
- This leads to limited odour control and poor extraction
How do GrowMax Eco Grow Water Filters work?
There are two stages to the filtering process.
Stage 1: Water passes through a 5 micron sedimentary filter to remove unwanted solids (mineral ions).
Stage 2: Water then passes through a solid activated coconut carbon block which removes: Chlorine Benzenes, Herbicides, Toluene, Pesticides, Oils, Volatile Organic Contaminants and PCBs.
Overall, your GrowMax Eco Grow Water Filter removes:
• 99% of chlorine
• 90% of sediment particles above 5 microns
• Flow: 240 liters/hour (60 gpd)
• Filter Capacity: 11.000 litres or 4-6 months
• Ready to install
• Main unit
• Inlet tubing with garden hose connector
• Sediment filter
• Green coconut carbon filter
• Outlet tubing
• Shut-off valve
1. Connect the hose adaptor to your hose or tap
2. Take a length of 1/4" tubing (cut your desired amount)
3. Push one end into the other hose adaptor
4. Push the other end into the "feed" inlet port of the filter system on the right side
5. Push the desired length of tubing into the "outlet" port of the filter system on the left side
6. Decide where you want to install the inline shut off valve
7. Cut the tubing at that point
8. Push the two lengths of tubing into the shut off valve and you are ready to go!
9. Before using the system you will need to flush out any carbon fines and particulates.
10. You simply open the water and flush out the system for 5 minutes, letting the water go to the drain
