Plagron Alga Nutrients

Plagron’s Alga Grow and Bloom are algae-based basic nutrients. Plagron Alga nutrients are 100% organic and control union certified. Alga Grow is used in the grow phase and Alga Bloom is used in the blooming phase. Growing with alga organic nutrients ensure your final produce has the best smell and taste.

Shake well before use. Add a maximum of 4ml Alga grow per litre of water. Use this solution each time the plants are irrigated during the growth phase. Not suitable for hydroponic systems. If used in an irrigation system, flush the pipes after use.

Plagron recommends using the Alga Bloom and Alga Grow nutrients in combination with one the the 100% natural substrates, you can also use these in conjunction with Plagron’s 100% Terra substrates.

Use Alga Grow or Alga Bloom every time you water your plants which of the two you use depends on the phase your plants are in and the substrate you are growing on. 

For the best results use Alga Grow and Alga Bloom in combination with the other Plagron additives like Vita Race, Power race, and Green sensation.

No, combined with Plagron’s 100% Natural soils you don’t have to regulate the pH and EC values of your nutrient solutions.

No, this is normal and is not harmful for your plants. This is caused by organic ingredients in Alga Grow. After the product has been dissolved in water, a natural bacterial process starts after a while. This causes the smell and can make your solution look cloudy. This does not have any adverse effects on your plants.

Plagron’s organic products will remain stable for 6 months after opening the product. 

Yes, you can, once the mineral fertiliser is out of the substrate. With Lightmix that will take about a week, while with Growmix it will take about three weeks. As long as there are nutrients in the substrate, you'll have to monitor pH and EC values. You won't need to add nutrients. Once the pre-fertilisation is gone, you can start adding Alga Grow or Alga Bloom and you won't need to monitor anything anymore. In the period between the two you'll only have to mind the pH. Alga Grow and Bloom work perfectly well on 100% Terra substrates. But Growmix and Lightmix are not organic and do not contain soil life.
