How Do EC Fans Work?

Fans that employ older tech (AC) use the same power regardless of the speed setting selected on a traditional resistance based controller. With EC Fans – including all of those in the Mammoth S-Max Pro range – if you don’t need to run one at full pelt, you can reduce the speed and consequentially reduce the power consumed via a suitable controller. This perk of EC equipment means that a 10% speed reduction roughly equates to 10% less power used, a 20% speed reduction roughly equates to 20% less power used, and so on.
