is not air sealed

This hood is not air sealed, even after I have used silicone and tape there is still holes where rivets have been punched through to attach the reflective hood, the smell is sucked from your garden and blown out of your extractor fan, totally useless for me, I have purchased two of these from growell, I have had these shades for 5 months now and gutted as I want to get rid of them already :(

GROWELL REPONSE: We always recommend blowing air through your air cooled reflectors to avoid any such problem. This both cools the lamp more efficiently and also creates positive pressure within your reflector so any "leaks" are of fresh air into your grow room. The set-up should be as follows: Carbon Filter >> Extractor Fan >> Sputnik reflector. Changing your set-up like this will eliminate your problem and you'll find these reflectors are very, very good.
