Overview: Differing from all alternative options, the forward-thinking SMSCOM Smart Controller actually relies on special software to scan and evaluate the air temperature in your grow room before then finding the exact fan speed that will enable a predetermined ^oC target to be reached. All you need to do is plug your fan directly into the unit, position the 2m sensor somewhere suitable (ideally the centre of the room), set the preferred minimum fan speed and select a desired temperature. All it needs afterwards is a couple of minutes!

Throughout your crop the SMSCOM Smart Fan Speed Controller automatically adjusts fan output for maintenance of favoured conditions, gradually making the changes to avoid unnecessary temperature fluctuations, noise and inefficiency. You will want the fan running at a slow, steady speed for most of the time to not risk bothering plants and also for accommodating optimum humidity levels – so set the controller accordingly. If there’s suddenly a hot spell, the controller shall instruct the fan to extract at a faster rate until the room has been adequately cooled.

Conveniently, the SMSCOM Smart Fan Speed Controller is ready to use from out of the box, accurately functions to +/- 1 degree and manages a maximum fan load of 6 Amps. Very highly recommended!

is the SMSCOM a varible or use a resitance to slow down the fan.

The SMSCOM smart fan spped controller is a resistance based controller. If you wish to use a variac, we would recommend using one of our fan speed voltage controllers.
