Overview: Running a fan at full force for prolonged periods of time should be avoided – even during scorching summers – since it works against achieving optimum humidity conditions and fails to help establish a suitable constant temperature. The SMSCOM 6.5 Amp Controller lets you keep air moving at lower, more accommodating speeds but importantly features a “safety net” setting that only activates to increase flow rate when your room gets too hot. Once the target temperature is restored, your fan returns to operating at the idling speed.

Reassuringly simple to use, all you do is plug your extractor fan into the SMSCOM controller, tweak the preferred fan speed indicator, and then pick a desired room temperature. You’re then good to go!

Does this product have a temp. sensor at all? Is it inside the box or an external one like shown in the more expense model?

The SMSCOM 6.5 Amp Fan Controller does not feature temperature control, you would eith need to use the SMSCOM Smart Fan Speed Controller, or a Klimavator.

This product looks really interesting, i was wandering if it slows/speeds up the fan via voltage control or does it reduce the amps?

This is a resistance based controller, we supply Fan Speed Voltage controllers, the 1.5 amp is £110, the 6 amp is £170.
