Best pots I've used.
Written by Bubbla |

These are without a doubt the best pots I have used and there's no hassle with watering like the plastic airpots which can leak a lot when top watering, simply water from above or below. At first I used 8 litre pots but like the 12 litre ones better, they let the plant breathe and at the end of your harvest simply cut open the rootball to see the results. Thousands of tiny little feeder roots, just what you want. Slight bit of white mould on side of the pot but it seemed harmless. Try them, you won't be dissapointed !!

At First I Didn't Like, But Now I'd Never Go Back

When I started using these I hated them, I had the 12 litre ones neither no handles I found them hard to move. Also when watering if you don't get the knack of it, you can soak the entire fibre pot which won't dry for a day or two under a 600w HID lamp!
BUT...The fibre is vey strong, even when fully watered, wet and full grown plant it's easy to move by picking up from th edges, you'd expect it to rip, but it or don't!
Also you'll notice white patches perking on the outside of the pot, at first I thought it was mould, could well be, but hd no problems, amazing growth and no root rot.
At harvest my mind had changed, the rootball was nothing like I've seen before, I usually use airpots and expected to see white creamy thick roots, but no, just a mass of coco looking feeder roots, completely dense with them, I couldn't even shake the soil off!

BEST POT ON THE MARKET, Just wish they made 1, 3 & 6 litre ones!

At first Sceptical , But at Harvest amazed!

At first I didn't like these, I was using the 11 litre ones which have no handles!
When I was watering, I like to have lot of run off, but if your not careful you can soak the hole pot, which takes upto 40 hours under a 600w hid, and was worried about mould.
The pots over the weeks o go slightly white, like mould is forming ,which I think it is but can't be certain. But no root rot or nothing.
Without handles thy can be hard to move around, especially when just watered, but the materials strong and can withhold picking it up by the edges, even when wet, and being moved about even with fully grown plants.
At harvest I expected to see a mass of hits roots like my airpots, but no, it was packed with all I can describes roots that are like really thin straw, feeder roots, but everywhere, the entire pot was these thin roots and impossible to shake dirt from.
Best pots I've ever used, but be careful with humidity when pots are wet, you don't want root rot, also when watering, cut some cheap inch square wood cubes and use 5 to rest the pot on top off, no need to worry about sitting in overrun then.

Great Product !

I have always used plastic plant pots and thought they did the job pretty well, Untill I visited Growell Fulham to buy some soil I noticed the Rhizo pots, After one of the staff whom are always very helpful explained how the pot works I purchased 6 of the 12 Litre pots. Since Growing in these pots I have had no problems with nute lock, the root system is much larger than I have ever experienced with other pots which leads to a healthier plant meaning larger crops.
I would recommend this product.

Questions and Answers (5)

Do the Rhizo pots have holes for drainage? thanks
The Rhizo-Pots do not have drainage holes, but any run off will be able to flow through the bottom of the pot.

When using the rhizo pots, do you actually trim the roots on the outside of the pot or do they not actually grow through the pot and "prune" them selves automatically as I'n new roots develop off the root that has hit the internal wall of the pot ? Cheers
The roots will stop growing outwards when they come into contact with air, which stimulates the plant into sending out additional new roots. You do not need to trim the roots manually.

do u need trays or even special trays for rhizo pots
It is always better to use a tray when using Rhizo Pots, you do get some run off occasionally. Any tray will do, you do not need a special tray.
