Overview

At the heart of every Proxima Euro Lighting System is the classic Proxima Euro Reflector, a popular choice for people seeking an affordable route to growing plants without sacrificing much on performance. It incorporates plenty of handy features such as a dimpled surface and a parabolic fold above the lamp for improved light spread, super safe rounded corners and an open ended design that enables low mounting heights. We genuinely believe you’ll struggle to find a better entry-level reflector anywhere else!

A fantastic spectrum-adjusted lamp also comes supplied as standard with each light system and conveniently doesn’t require changing when you progress from vegetative growth to flowering – again keeping costs down at no expense of results!

Selecting the ballast for your system requires some careful consideration. The magnetic Proxima and Hobby units may cost more to run than digital equivalents but the high standard of components and low initial price tag deservedly make them a popular option for many growers. On the other hand, the digital Exolux model is far more energy efficient, produces less heat and noise and includes entirely unique design features like flexible light settings and a super lumen switch. Although these ballasts fall into the top tier for pricing, you can be certain digital technology is the future of the industry!

Proxima Euro Lighting Systems will meet the needs of novices and seasoned professionals alike and come highly recommended if you’re new to growing or closely watching spend levels.

How to use
Each item in the Proxima Euro Lighting System includes instructions, but you won't have any problems setting any of them up. Prior to suspending the ready-to-use Proxima Euro Reflector from your ceiling/grow tent roof, make sure you peel off the thin blue layer of film that prevents the product from scratching when sent out. Next screw the grow lamp into the lampholder and connect the reflector lead to the corresponding ballast lead. Finally plug the ballast into the mains - always use a contactor if controlling your system with a timer.

how much heat will 250w hps give off compared to a 250w cfl , will the hps be a lot hotter.
A 250 Watt budget light system with an HPS bulb will run hotter than a 250 Watt CFL, but it will give off considerably more light for the same running cost. We do not stock 250w CFL's for this exact reason as there is almost never a situation where the 250w HPS is not the better option. And the 250w CFL's are very fragile and difficult to transport without damaging.
