How to use
Each item in the Proxima 600 Watt Lighting System includes instructions, but you won't have any problems setting any of them up. Prior to suspending the ready-to-use Budget Reflector from your ceiling/grow tent roof, make sure you peel off the thin blue layer of film that prevents the product from scratching when sent out. Next screw the grow lamp into the lampholder and connect the reflector lead to the corresponding ballast lead. Finally plug the ballast into the mains - always use a contactor if controlling your system with a timer.

Got two of these when they came out and cant fault them at all. Big heavy ballast, but does the job fine with a decent reflector. For £70 its a good deal.

is this bulb sodium vapor? and can you get the same setup but 400w?

The lamp provided with this system is a High Pressure Sodium Lamp. 250 Watt and 400 watt versions of the Proxima ballast will be available in the coming months.
how many plants could you grow with 600 watt light

Written by josh | 19 Dec 2011

The 600W Proxima will cover an area if 1.35 square metres, you could comfortable run a Gro-Tank 1000 in this area, which will hold between 9 & 25 plants.
is the bulb provided a dual spectrum lamp as in can it be used for all plant cycles (veg & flower)?

Written by RT | 26 Nov 2011

The Proxima 600 Watt Light System does come with a dual spectrum bulb, which is suitable for both vegetative & flowering stages. If you prefer, we are able to provide this system with either a Grolux or Sunmaster lamp for an additional £5.00.
