Root Riot Organic Starter Cubes for Cuttings and Seedlings

Perfect for dedicated soil or coco growers, Root Riot Organic Starter Cubes are the organic alternative to Rockwool Cuttings Seed Cubes. Completely bio-degradeable, Root Riot is a mixture of coco coir, peat and bark which has excellent aeration and drainage properties - perfect for getting your plants started.

Each cube has a pre-formed hole to accept either a seedling or cutting. We recommend pre-soaking your root riot cubes for best results - a winning combination for many of our customers is to pre-soak with SHOGUN Start and SHOGUN Katana Roots, although there are many other great products you could use such as Ecothrive Biosys to get your new plants off to a great start.

  • Do I need to add Nutrients like Cana start or Formulex to the Fleximix Root Riot starter cubes when doing cuttings? Or is there already nutrients in the media, and if so how soon before I need to replenish it with more feed?

    There is no nutrient content in these starter cubes, we would advise using Vita Link Plant Start, or Canna Start, & also Rhizotonic for best results.

  • I pruned my eucalyptus gunii last year and now want to make a couple of hundred cuttings from the new growth. Is this the best product to use?

    The Fleximix Root Riot cubes will work well for putting your cuttings in, I'd also use Clonex, Clonex Mist, Rhizotonic, & Vita Link Plant Start.
