When taking cuttings, you can greatly increase the chances of successful rooting by using Clonex Rooting Gel. Other products that perform this function continue to come and go but in our opinion none have ever edged close to matching its exceptional performance. Containing nutrients, antimicrobials and rooting hormones, Clonex stimulates your cuttings into developing roots and goes a long way towards eliminating time consuming rooting failures. Clonex Mist

Clonex Mist is a unique foliar additive designed for propagation purposes that has been proven to contribute towards exceptional results when used in conjunction with the hugely popular and mightily effective Clonex Gel.
Liberally spraying the product over your mother plant several times during the final weeks before taking cuttings serves as a good preparatory measure, working to ensure the new growth areas remain vibrant. Then simply mist the clones right before they are put into a propagator and every 2-3 days afterwards until initial roots form - you’ll find there are genuine benefits to be gained from such a move! Firstly it helps to significantly speed up rooting times so that you can often transplant your plants 25% earlier than normal. And secondly the roots inherit the potential to outgrow untreated ones by as much as 30%, with an increased density of up to 156%... incredible! This all combines to make the cuttings stronger, healthier and more suitably primed for future development!

Nitrozyme

Mother Plants should be sprayed or misted with Nitrozyme about two weeks before cuttings are due to be taken. This will produce a flush of vigorous new shoot growth and provide plenty of material for cuttings. A little goes a long way! Full instructions supplied. -
Vita Link Plant Start

Very young plants including cuttings and seedlings are not able to handle full strength nutrient solutions and instead require a more subtle formulation for optimum growth. Vita Link Plant Start has been designed with the needs of young plants in mind, containing everything that they need to efficiently root and commence vegetative growth. Use once roots start to form at a dilution rate of 6-8mls/Litre. -
Canna Rhizotonic

The best plants are always those that get off to the best start. Feeding or spraying your young cuttings with Canna Rhizotonic enables them to grow roots faster whilst ensuring that a more vigorous, healthy start is enjoyed. BioBizz Root Juice

A great one for soil growers, especially those using the world famous range of Bio-Bizz products. Applying Bio-Bizz Root Juice to your rooted cuttings stimulates the biological activity around their root zones leading to explosive root growth. It is ideal in soil based systems but can also prove effective for hydroponic applications. Use in the first week after your cuttings have rooted at the dilution rate of 4mls to 1 Litre of water. An OMRI and EKO/SKAL listed organic product.

Propagation Nutrients & Boosters
For the same reason that small children have quite specific feeding regimes, your young plants require unique products geared towards their delicate nature. Without doubt the first port of call should be a rooting gel, which acts to encourage root development in cuttings and over the long term reduces rooting failure rates. There's only one name to trust with regard to this type of product - Clonex - and that doesn't look like changing anytime soon! At the same time as using Clonex we also recommend applying a good root booster (e.g. Rhizotonic), as it will reliably speed up the rooting process. Once plants are 1 to 2 weeks old, they need a soft formulation nutrient since full strength options may still cause problems in terms of overfeeding. Our best seller here is the ever-impressive Vita Link Plant Start but we've also seen an increasing uptake of Plagron Start Up amongst organic growers. The only other type of product that you need to know about concerns mother plants. Using the foliar spray Nitrozyme two weeks prior to cuttings being taken will produce a swell of healthy new growth for you to choose from.
