Prima Klima Temperature Controlled Extractor Fan

SKU# G470

Effective management of extractor fan speeds has always been dependant on the use of an expensive separate fan speed controller until now! Its taken some time but finally the concept of combining an extractor fan and fan speed controller has become reality! The PK Temperature Controlled Extractor Fan features easy to use controls and provides a simple means of managing temperatures in single light applications.

Overview
Heres how it works. First you adjust the controls to set an idling speed for the fan and a desirable temperature for your grow room. The unit then operates at the idling speed to maintain the preferred temperature. If at any point your grow room gets too hot, it automatically switches to full speed until suitable conditions return. Brilliant yet simple! Given that the UKs temperatures often range from one extreme to another with scorching summers and freezing winters (plus everything in between!), the need for the PK Temperature Controlled Extractor Fan is obvious. Few rival products match this one in terms of quality and convenience when youre growing in a single light room. If youre looking to employ multiple intake and outtake fans then youll need to upgrade to a KlimaVator or Fan Speed Voltage Controller.

Questions and Answers (3)

Can the Prima Klima Temp Controlled Extractor Fan be used as the extraction along with the RVK125 as an intake fan? Or will this put strain on the room if the Temp Controlled Extractor goes into low/high speed to cool/heat the room?

We would always recommend using a smaller intake fan than your out take fan, if you were using the PK Temperature controlled fan, we would advise you use an RVK100 fan as the intake.
2 questions here. first, where is the best place to hang the measuring probe. i would like to hang it near the canopy near the center of the space, but then it gets around 50 centimeters from the light-how close can the probe go to the light without affecting it's effectiveness? is the upper corner a good spot for the fan?. The other main question is how to reduce noise. any suggestions are great. small homebox tent and led panel light is what i have. cheers.

The ideal temperature a foot or two off the ground, in the shade, well away from the light is 24-28 deg C. The ideal temperature in the canopy in the light with the light a couple of feet away is about 32-38 deg C, above the light it would be even hotter. With regards to noise reduction, we would recommend using silencers & acoustic ducting, or alternatively, upgrading to one of our Futuretech Acoustic Fans.
can i set the thermostat to the temp i want and when the temp goes higher does the fan extract the hot air out and replaces it with cool air

You can set the idling speed of the fan, & the temperature that you want the fan to kick in at full speed. When this temperature is reached, the fan will run on full power until the set temperature is reached.
