‘Advanced Nutrients’
We’ve just added some of the ‘Advanced Nutrients’ products to our catalogue so here’s some background on the company and it’s products for you. We’ve also included a more in depth look at each product plus some extra information and usage instructions for those liquids we’re supplying.
We pride ourselves on only stocking the best products from around the world – and as a result it’s not that easy to get into our catalogue. There are so many products that often do the same job that we have to be selective – but the four products that we stock from Advanced Nutrients breezed in. They’re that good!
The Advanced Nutrients product range is very large (over 70 products, sold over 3 continents, to countries including Canada, America, Germany, UK, Holland, Australia) and for the moment we’ve only supplying the most popular additives which have all been receiving excellent reviews and feedback We’ve also had each product tested our own expert researchers and so far there has been nothing but glowing praise. The additives will work well with every feed or nutrient pack that we currently have available. The decision as to whether we sell ‘Advanced Nutrients’ feeds too, and which ones will be reviewed in the near future.
Supplying the Canadian market
Advanced Nutrients Ltd and Polar Bear Manufacturing Ltd are both parts of a larger umbrella company Canadian Soilless Ltd, which has been manufacturing and supplying products to the Canadian hydro/indoor gardening retailers in Canada for many years. Advanced Nutrients Ltd was founded in 1996 and to their credit boast:
- The worlds largest hydroponic nutrient research and development program.
- 5 PhD’s
- 12 Research and Development labs with over 100 dedicated 1000 Watt HPS and MH lamps for plant research
- Full time Production Chemists ensuring the product consistency and quality.
Using these Products
Here are the ‘Advanced Nutrient’ we now have in stock. Call us on 0845 345 5178 or click on the links in this newsletter for sizes and prices. All these products work well on any species/varieties of fruit, vegetables or flowers.
Dr. Hornby's Big Bud
This NOT just another P/K boost. Not only does it have a more efficient P/K ratio of 1-4, compared to other flower boosters, it also has natural essential amino acids and other natural ingredients. This product works well on any species/varieties of fruit, vegetables or flowers.
Using in hydroponics or soil:
Mix at a rate of 5ml per 1 litre of solution.
- Add Big Bud to your favourite bloom nutrient throughout the flowering period at 5ml per litre of solution. This will add approximately 300ppm to solution strength. If you have a cF/EC or ppm meter you can counter for this, or not, your choice, experiment a little and also use the colour of the plant as a guide. Vary nutrient strength according to size of plant and amount of lights, and keep the big bud at 5ml per litre throughout the flowering period.
Top Tip:
For hydroponic nutrient solution strengths, as a general guide you will enter flowering on a half strength or two third strength bloom feed, reaching your strongest nutrient strength in the fourth and third weeks from harvest, then reduce to half strength for the second week from the end, then flush with water for the last week.
Voodoo Juice
Definitely another great product and a definite yield enhancer this product can be used throughout the entire vegetative and flowering stage. This product is totally natural, doesn’t pollute the environment and contains no pathogenic organisms. It does contain five strains of microbes, one of which is a nitrogen fixer. Every 4 litres of Voodoo Juice contains 200 billion microbes, these microbes colonise the root zone and whether your growing in hydroponics or soil, these microbes will stimulate and dramatically increase the size of the root mass. This will have many benefits including faster growth, healthier plants, ultimately helping to produce larger yields. Do not use Oxyplus with this product.
Hydroponics:
Mix at a rate of 30ml per 4 litres of solution.
Apply every 3 weeks.
Soil:
Mix at a rate of 30ml per 4 litres of solution.
Apply every 3 weeks.
Seeds and Transplant:
Mix at a rate of 30ml per 3 litres of solution.
Apply every 3 weeks.
Sensi Zym
This is an concentrated mix of over 80 different enzymes each having specific functions that enhance plant and root growth. These enzymes break down dead root, starches, carbohydrates, and nutrients which accelerates plant growth as well as assisting beneficial bacterial growth. These enzymes also help with other metabolic functions and cell replication.
This enzyme product also has a long stable shelf life (18 months).
Hydroponics:
Mix at a rate of 5ml per 1 litre of solution.
Apply weekly.
Soil:
Mix at a rate of 5ml per 1 litre of water.
Apply at every watering.
Wipeout
Wipe Out has been developed especially for the growroom environment. Simply spray or sponge on to walls, ceilings and floors and let it dry. Effective on bacteria, mildew and fungus.
Spray:
Mix at a rate of 60ml per 1 litre of water.
Warning! - Wear gloves and eye protection when applying. Do not swallow. Keep out of reach of children.
Verdict
I have to say for me anyway, after seeing their catalogue, reading the info and reviews, looking at the bottles and getting the feedback from our trials and now customers, I can’t wait to have a go on it myself! Another great addition to our product line? I think so!
