Grodan Rockwool Cubes are ideal for raising seedlings and cuttings. Clean, lightweight and supplied in their own plastic tray for easy handling, these continue to be one of the most popular growing mediums we sell. Once roots start to emerge through the cubes you will need to plant them on into larger Grodan Transplanting Cubes or some other medium. There are 2 sizes of cube available: Large Cuttings Seed Cube = 3.6cm (one and a half inch) (GroWell recommended) and Small Cuttings Seed Cube = 2.5cm (one inch). Please note that Cuttings Seed Cube Refills are supplied without a plastic tray.

Once you have successfully propagated cuttings or seedlings so that roots are showing from your Grodan Cuttings Seed Cubes, the next stage is to transplant them on into Grodan Transplanting Cubes. We offer 2 sizes of Transplanting Cube, each with either a large or small hole to match the two available sizes of Cuttings Seed Cube. After establishing your plants in their Grodan Transplanting Cubes, they can be moved on into any kind of system. When ordering Grodan Transplanting Cubes please specify whether you've been growing with Large or Small Grodan Cuttings Seed Cubes.

These are tiny 1cm square cubes of Grodan Rockwool designed to be used as pot growing media. Plant your seedling or cutting on into 5 Litre or bigger pots containing the growing cubes and then water with a hydroponic nutrient solution. Cellmax is clean and lightweight with good air to water retention properties which proves easy to use and very effective.

Our high quality German sourced Clay Pebbles are clean, pH neutral, pH stable and are great for use in all kinds of systems from flood & drain, through to drippers even hand watered pots! They can also be combined with other growing media such as coco, soils or cellmax to improve drainage and structure. Many growers, especially in Holland, plant their Grodan Transplanting Cubes on into Grodan Rockwool Slabs. They then grow their plants to maturity in these slabs, usually using an AquaTray (a special Rockwool Slab container) for support. There are two sizes of slab, both 15cm (6') wide. We recommend trying the 1.0 Metre Slabs with the 1.0 Metre AquaTray.

A simple yet effective way of growing, Canna Coco Professional Plus has become very popular in recent years. The quality of produce is excellent, the yields are good and it is something everybody can relate to - growing a plant in a pot! Made from the refined husks of coconuts, Canna Coco Professional Plus provides an airy and light rooting environment, perfect for encouraging vigorous and healthy root growth. Canna Coco Professional Plus has no nutrient content and for maximum effect should be used with a coco specific nutrient such as Vita Link Coir or Plagron Coco Nutrients. You can use any hydroponic nutrient with this media too, and all of the most popular hydroponic additives are equally as effective in coco.

Perlite has been used for years to create potting media and enhance soil mixes. It is very airy and aids drainage whilst vermiculite is highly water retentive.

Bio-Bizz All-Mix is unlike anything you would find in a garden centre. It contains an effective blend of soil (20%), compost (35%), worm castings (10%) and Perlite (30%) as well as a special 'pre-mix' (5%) of biologically active organic ingredients that have been fermented for a month to create a potent mixture. We recommend using Bio-Bizz All-Mix during growth and flowering, ideally in conjunction with Bio-Bizz Nutrients for best results.

All Mix is suitable for all stages of plant life and can be purchased in two different sized bags; 20 Litres and 50 Litres. Bio-Bizz also produces a 'Light Mix' that has been specifically formulated for seedlings and cuttings. This is available in a 20 Litre bag. Both grades of Bio-Bizz soil are 100% organic.

Canna Terra Professional Soil Mix comes in two types - an all round pre-fertilised soil and a truly exceptional superior soil growing medium. Specifically designed for use with Canna Terra and Canna Bio Nutrients (although exceptional results can also be achieved using Bio-Bizz nutrients), both of these soil mixes are sure to provide fantastic results for all who use them. Canna Terra Professional is the approximate equivalent of Bio-Bizz All-Mix, having a high nutrient content as well as good structure, aeration and drainage.
