When it comes to choosing your lamp, more light output equals greater levels of growth – quite simple really! With this in mind you just can’t ignore SOLAAR Lamps, which arrive on the back of extensive tests proving that they produce an additional 3,000 lumens compared against other models from the major competing brands. By generating light covering over both the blue and orange/red spectrums, these lamps have been designed for nurturing incredible plants throughout both the vegetative and flowering stages. Grolux Lamps

Sodium Grolux Lamps have been specifically designed for horticultural applications and optimum plant growth. Sharing many of the same characteristics as standard sodium lamps, these colour-adjusted versions provide a much broader spectrum of light (notably in the blue spectrum) for excellent performance throughout both vegetative and flowering stages. -
Philips Greenpower Lamps

As you would expect from a premium standard full spectrum bulb, the light that is generated by this exceptional product triggers phenomenal growth in all your plants over both vegetative and flowering stages. On close inspection the advanced technology and robust design employed by a Philips Greenpower Lamp also gives you distinct benefits of increased reliability and longer lasting output at the optimum level. In other words, you have to change it far less frequently than alternative options! We recommend replacing this lamp every 6-9 months.

Sunmaster Lamps

Sunmaster Lamps are becoming increasingly popular as more and more people continue to achieve impressive results by experimenting with them. This superior selection of full spectrum bulbs produce light from the blue spectrum in addition to the orange/red output of a normal sodium lamp, consequently promoting exceptional growth over the entire lifespan of your plants! Using just the one lamp from start to finish also cuts costs too! -
Sodium Lamps

The standard Sodium Lamp generates light in the orange/red spectrum and is perfect for developing flowering plants. When used as part of a two-lamp strategy (with a blue spectrum Metal Halide covering vegetative growth), results are always fantastic! Sodium Lamps can successfully be applied from cutting to harvest but most growers prefer Sunmaster/Grolux Lamps for this approach. -
Metal Halide Lamps

With output firmly in the blue spectrum, Metal Halide Lamps are used almost exclusively for aiding superior vegetative growth. Suited to a two-lamp method, these will produce amazing returns when you have a Sodium Lamp taking care of the flowering stage. Its important to note that Halide Lamps can give off high levels of light and heat and are not required if youve opted for a Sunmaster/Grolux.

Grow Lamps
Every complete grow light system we sell is supplied complete with a grow lamp - in the case of High Intensity Lighting systems this is always a Grolux Spectrum Adjusted Lamp which is a great all rounder for both vegetative and flowering growth.
There are other lamps types available depending upon your personal preference and the purpose for which you are using your grow light system. For example, if you have a dedicated vegetative growth room, then it would be beneficial to use a metal halide lamp in that system for optimal vegetative growth results.
It also never hurts to experiment with new lamps over time to see if you can get that precious extra few percent additional performance form your plants.
The Greenpower lamp is proving a popular choice with some of our expert customers thanks to the additional performance that it can achieve over and above the cheaper lamps.
Also, remember to change your grow lamps at regular intervals to avoid any loss in performance. we recommend changing Grolux lamps every 4 months, Sunmaster lamps every 5 months, Sodium lamps every 6 months and Halide lamps every 9 months.
