Run-off collection and plant growing trays
If you intend to use drippers to irrigate your plants, then it is inevitable that there will be “run-off” – excess nutrient solution that runs out from the bottom of your growing pots, slabs or cubes after irrigating. Danish Trays have deep angled drainage troughs to carry run-off away from your plants and avoid leaving your growing pots standing in water. There are three sizes of Danish tray available, each one including the same drainage channels all converging on a single 25mm outlet hole. We recommend that you use a threaded outlet and 25mm Pipe and fittings to direct this run-off to either a waste tank or back to your main reservoir. When using any 25mm threaded fittings, use PTFE tape to ensure a secure connection. Cable ties can be used to secure pipework to trays for a tidy grow room. Danish trays require some kind of stand/support to be used correctly.
