Flower power
The Standard Sodium Lamp has been used in indoor growing with great success for many years although many people now prefer the Sodium Grolux lamps. Sodium lamps provide light in the orange/red spectrum which is ideal for flowering plants. They can be used throughout the vegetative and flowering period with good results. Your plants will not suffer too much in vegetative growth from the lack of blue spectrum light – however for optimum results, a Metal Halide lamp would be preferable for vegetative growth and a Sodium Lamp for flowering.
