Fights Pythium
Using Ultraviolet lamps to treat your hydroponic nutrient solution helps control if not completely eliminate pythium where it has taken hold in a re-circulating hydroponic system. In a normal growing situation pythium tends not to occur but if it does it can decimate a crop in no time at all. To control or eradicate pythium you simply attach the Vecton UV Steriliser to a pump and continuously pump your nutrient solution through it. We recommend you also use Ionic Balance as this is specially formulated to correct any potential imbalances that may occur from using a UV steriliser. The UV lamps in these units should be changed every 6 months, and there is an indicator on the unit that will tell you when a lamp change is due.
The 8 Watt Steriliser matches a Nova pump, whilst the 15 Watt Steriliser matches an Idra pump. The feedback on this product is unbelievable - previously, a pythium infection would spell the end of your plants but this machine has managed to save a number of our customers crops. A small price to pay to save an entire harvest.
