You will also need:


• A separate power cable for each fan
• A carbon filter (extractor only)
• A suitable length of Ducting
3 x Quick Release Duct Clips (or 1 x Fast Clamp and 2 x Quick Release Duct Clips)
2 x Rope Ratchets (recommended)


Choosing your fan:


• Use one fan to draw air out of your grow room.
• Use air vents or a second, smaller RVK extractor fan to draw air in.

Choosing a Carbon Filter:


To remove foul odours, you need to use a carbon filter with your extractor fan. Make sure your carbon filter’s spigot/flange size is the same as that in your extractor fan. Here are the carbon filters compatible with each fan:

How to Use

Wiring up the Fan

First, your fan will need to be wired up. Remove the cover and trim the earth wire (100A1 and 125A1 only) and then refer to the included instructions.

Identify the Direction of Air Flow

Air needs to travel out of your growing area for extraction, or into your growing area for intake. There’s an arrow on the fan’s case to show you which way the air travels.

Connecting up the Equipment

Attach a suitable length of ducting to the exhaust side of the fan, using a duct clip and then feed the ducting through the duct port in your tent, or to the area you wish to vent to.

Attach the other end of the fan to your filter using a fast clamp or small piece of ducting and a duct clip.

Hanging the Extraction System

It can be difficult getting the system into position on your own, but not impossible – we recommend using rope ratchets.

could you tell me what wattage the 6 inch RVK 150 LI extractor fan is thanks
The RVK150L1 is rated @ 115 Watts.

I have a 17m3 grow room with two 600 watt lights, what sort of exchange am I looking for... is a 6"rvk150a1 420m3 used with a carbon filter as my out let and a 160mm acoustic 390m3 used as my inlet enough?? I have had heat problems this summer!
These fans should be fine for running 2 x 600W lights, In summer, we would advise running air cooled lights during summer to help woth heat problems.

I realise it is an awkward factor to accurately convey, but roughly how loud are your extractor fans? For example is the RVK 100 going to be much louder than an average desktop PC? Thanks.
The LTI Systemair RVK extractor fans are very quiet for the amount of air that they move. The RVK100 would be a bit noisier than the fan in a desktop PC, if they are used in conjunction with acoustic ducting, the noise is further reduced. We also offer silencers for larger RVK fans.
