An in depth look at the complete Vita Link range – one of our most popular and effective nutrient ranges. Looks at why it’s so good, and what sets the Vita Link products apart from the rest.

Vita Link – a complete hydroponics range

There are a few nutrient ranges out there that really take their products seriously, and Vita Link is one of these ranges. They have took a considered look at what products to develop and have come up with a complete suite of products that are all designed to compliment and enhance each other.

We really like the way in which the Vita Link range has been given some serious thought - the results that you can achieve by using the complete range in tandem speak for themselves. The scientific approach that has been taken has lead to a set of products that are precisely tailored to provide a “complete” solution to successful growing – not just thinking about the “what makes plants grow” factors but also the various impacts that the products have on the growing environment. They have included trace elements like Nickel and cobalt to aid the all important nitrogen fixing bacteria in the root zone and added vitamin concentrates to stimulate your plants biological defences and aid in cell regeneration. This kind of attention to detail sets Vita Link apart from many other nutrient ranges as they have taken a much wider view of the factors that affect growth rather than thinking solely about their NPK ratios and nothing else.

The Range

Vita Link Grow & Bloom Nutrients

Vita Link Hydroponic Nutrients
Vita Link Hydroponic Nutrient

A high quality nutrient that is very popular with many of our customers. Standard two part A + B formulation in both hard and soft water versions. This nutrient has three major advantages over many of its rivals:

Its supply of phosphorous (an all important flowering element) is in a more readily available form to the plant. This leads to greater uptake by the plant and increased flower sizes and yields. It also aids in the development of a strong root structure which again improves growth.

The type of phosphorous (phosphites) supplied have been linked to the suppression of fungal attacks and disease.

It has unique cleansing properties which make it one of the easiest nutrients to use. Tanks and drip lines stay clear for longer and you don’t have to do as much cleaning!

Vita Link Bio-Pak

Vita Link Bio-Pac
Vita Link Bio-Pac

A “next generation” bio stimulant that activates and accelerates the growth process. Containing a good mixture of 10 different strains of beneficial bacteria and fungi, Bio-Pak becomes a potent growth promoting concoction when added to your nutrient solution. It enhances your root mass quite dramatically, encouraging nutrient uptake and increasing resistance to stress. This product is a real all rounder, containing traditional additives such as humic extracts and amino acids to complement the beneficial bacteria. Yet again, a Vita Link product that has really been given some serious thought. Not suitable for use with Oxy-Plus.

Vita Link Bio-Plus

Vita Link Bio Plus
Vita Link Bio Plus

The perfect complement to Bio-Pak is Bio-Plus, a recent addition to the Vita Link range and one that continues the impressive pedigree set by its counterparts. Essentially a plant vitality booster, Bio-Plus contains essential vitamin B complexes that your plant will call on during the stressful transplanting and fast growth that go hand in hand with hydroponics. Again containing beneficial bacteria, Bio-Plus protects your plant’s delicate root system against disease and encourages root regeneration. Not suitable for use with Oxy-Plus.

Vita Link Foliar Feed

Vita Link Foliar

A foliar feed designed to increase Brix levels (sugar) which flowering and fruiting to give tastier crops and increased resistance to heat and pests. It contains various humates and amino acids as well as chelated calcium which all encourage the plant to absorb these foliar fed nutrients and give a boost to both flowering and fruiting.

Vita Link Buddy

Vita Link Buddy

Quite possibly the star of the Vita Link range, Buddy is a potent PK booster for encouraging prolific fruiting and flowering growth for larger buds and increased yields. Containing both phosphates and more readily available phosphites, your plants are able to draw in large amounts of essential phosphorous for a massive flowering boost. Again contributing to highly increased Brix levels, Buddy has been proven to be one of the leading flowering boosters available and has rapidly become one of our best selling products.

A short note on Feeding and Feed charts

There are many guides and feed charts on the web and from manufactures, shops, chat rooms, forums etc. Plants will feed differently depending not only on the growing system used, but also the environment, temperature, amount of light, etc. There will also be differences between species, varieties and even between different plants from the same seed stock, some plants feed heavily and grow quickly and other plants feed and grow more slowly under the same amount of light. At GroWell our feed charts and guides, like the manufactures own guides, are a place to start that will give good results in most situations and can be fine tuned depending on the colour, the look, and general growth patterns of the plant. GroWell charts are often slightly weaker or different than manufactures guidelines on the bottle, although either guide or anywhere between the two will work fine.
